Hello! I’m Yvonne, an ESL teacher with an unusual path: after 28 years in the financial sector, I found my true calling in education — and I’ve never looked back. For more than 15 years, I’ve helped adult learners regain their momentum in English, especially those who struggle to find time or see real progress despite honest effort.
Many learners feel stuck because common methods feel overwhelming or disconnected from real life. My approach is different: focused practice, spaced repetition, and vocabulary you can actually use — making the most of every learning minute.
Over the years, I’ve built a vast collection of original teaching materials — grammar sheets, texts, exercises, and diagnostic tests — and I want to share them. Everything on English Practice Hub is free to download and use. All I ask is that you learn something, enjoy it, and come back for more.
I know the learner’s side of the journey too. I’ve learned German, French, and Luxembourgish, and I’m currently studying Serbian — so I understand exactly where the pitfalls lie, and how to navigate them with patience and empathy. I plan on adding some bi-lingual materials in the near future.
Teaching isn’t just my profession; it’s my vocation. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
